2025 Standards Compliance in a Non-Visit Year
In the fall of 2023, we shared in an OCA Weekly, “The Standards Review Committee works hard to annually review Member feedback and amend the standards to ensure they are compliant with current regulations and that they are easy to understand. Each membership year, the committee creates a Proposed Standards Document which includes the proposed changes and the logic and justification behind each change for review. Members vote on the proposed changes, and following the Annual General Meeting, the approved standards are shared with OCA Members and posted to OCA's website.
OCA Member compliance to the standards each season, regardless of whether it's a re-accreditation year, is of utmost importance. To that end, all Accredited Member Camps and Outdoor Education Centres not being visited in a given year will receive a sign-off in the spring to acknowledge that the person responsible for the interpretation, enforcement and compliance of the standards has read the current year's changes and will comply for the upcoming season.”
Sign Off
I represent and warrant that I will review and comply with OCA’s 2025 Standards and any amendments to the standards that take place from time to time for the current operating season for all camps/OECs within my membership. I have legal authorization to sign on behalf of the organization I represent.
The sign off needs to be completed by the individual who is operationally responsible for the interpretation, enforcement and compliance of OCA standards. Please fill this out with the same due diligence as when your camp/OEC completes the answer sheets.
Deadline to Sign Off: Friday, May 30, 2025
We will follow up until all applicable sign-offs for your organization have been completed.
